Make a document accessible
Choose a PDF, Word document, PowerPoint deck, EPUB book or a photo of a page, and get back a web page that works properly with a screen reader, with Word, EPUB, braille and Canvas versions to download. Maths is read aloud correctly, pictures are described, and headings and tables can be navigated. How to use this page.
Pick up where you left off
Kept only in this browser on this computer, for 14 days, up to the 25 most recent documents, until you discard them. On a computer other people use, discard them when you have finished.
Finish converting
The files are kept in this browser; your password is not. Fill it in below if it is empty, then continue.

Things to fix before converting
Converting
Starting
Reading the pages takes the longest, usually a minute or two. You can leave this tab open and do something else.
Your document is ready
Only some of this document converted.
This document was opened again from this browser, so reading it again needs these once more.
What converted is a real document and has passed every check. It is simply not all of the original, and it says so inside itself, so a copy can never be mistaken for the whole thing.
This document contains maths. Check every equation against the original before you send it to anyone. No reading service gets equations right every time.
Convert this document again
The file you sent is kept here for ten minutes after it converts, so this costs only the reading.
This is the finished page, exactly as the student will get it. Move through it with your reader as you normally would.

What changed

How the boxes work
- Everything follows the page from top to bottom, and the headings here are the document's own headings.
- Paragraphs that follow one another share one box, with a blank line between them. Add a blank line to split a paragraph, or remove one to join two.
- A list is one box with one item per line.
- Bold words have two asterisks on each side, like **this**. Italic words have one, like *this*. A link is written as [the link's words](its web address).
- A passage in another language has its language code on each side, like [es]buenos días[/es].
- A marker like [equation 3] holds an equation's place in the text. Leave it where it is; the equation's own editor comes straight after the box.
- An asterisk inside a word or number, like 5*4, stays as it is. To type one at the start or end of a word, or a square bracket, put a backslash in front of it.
- Each heading has an Edit button after it. Edit opens the heading's text and level; Done or Escape closes them again.
- In the Find box, Enter goes to the next match and Shift+Enter to the one before. F3 is left to your screen reader.

That did not work
Before you send it to a student, read the maths over against the original file. The converter checks a long list of things by itself, but no tool can tell whether an equation matches the page it came from, or whether a picture description is true.
